  • How much does it cost to use Editr?
    You can use Editr for free by selecting our free plan. Our free plan allows you to try our service before you commit to paying for a subscription.

  • How do I sign up?
    It is very easy to create an Editr account. Click here to get started.
  • What types of video files can I upload?
    Currently, you are able to upload .mp4 and .mov video files
  • Do you have an upload limit?
    Yes, can upload videos to Editr, as long as it isn't bigger than 128MB
  • Can I edit my subtitles?
    Yes, our features allow you to change the following:
    - The wording of subtitles
    - The timing of subtitles
    - The positioning of subtitles
    - You can break subtitles up and rejoin them to control the number of words on the screen at any given time

  • Can I style my subtitles?
    Yes, you can change:
    - The colour of subtitles
    - You can bold, italic or underline your subtitles

  • Can I remove the Editr watermark?
    We would love for you to keep our watermark so that others can find out about Editr too. But, if you have an upgraded account, you can remove the watermark from your video.
  • How do I download my newly subtitled video?
    Once you are happy with your subtitles, simply click the 'export' button at the bottom right of the screen. Your video will then appear in the 'completed' section of your workspace. From there you can download the video onto your laptop by simply clicking the download icon on your completed video.

  • Does Editr support languages other than English?
    Unfortunately, our platform is currently only able to automatically subtitle videos that are in English. In the future we hope to support other languages so watch this space. Please feel free to get in touch and suggest your language by emailing us at: info@editr.io

  • How accurate are your subtitles?
    We use AI to generate our subtitles. Our average accuracy is 87%. We are extremely proud to be able to say that our subtitles are the most accurate that they could possibly be with the current technology out there.
  • How secure is my video once it is uploaded onto Editr?
    Your security is very important to us. We follow best practices to ensure that your data is safe and secure once uploaded to Editr. Your video's are securely stored in Amazon Web Services (AWS), which means we have a shared responsibility with AWS when it comes to security. We will never share your videos publicly and all your content is encrypted at rest.
  • How can I get help if needed?
    When you first upload your video, you will be presented with some 'helpful hints' so that you know exactly how to do what you want. Alternatively you can contact us on: info@editr.io
  • Why should I upgrade my account?
    You get more minutes with an upgraded account & you can remove the Editr watermark.
  • What payment does Editr support?
    All our plans are listed in Dollars. Any additional fees, taxes, exchange rates etc are included in our prices. We are completely transparent and we will never try to hide costs from you. Our payments are powered securely by Stripe. We accept all major debit and credit cards.
  • Can I cancel my subscription?
    Of course, you are free to cancel both the monthly and yearly subscription at any time, just email us at: info@editr.io
    Please note, you will have access to your subscription until the end of your billing cycle.
  • Can I get a refund?
    We don't issue refunds but you can cancel your subscription at any time.
  • Can I resize my video for socials?

    Yes - you'll need a PRO subscription to access this feature. Simply select your social media platform of choice from our preset options and w'll make sure your video fits the required specifications. You are then free to upload your new video to platforms such as Instagram (post/story), Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Twitter and more!
  • Can I suggest a new feature?

  • What if I only want to download a subtitle file, is this possible?
    Yes, you'll need a PRO subscription to access this feature. You can download your subtitles in the form of a SRT file.
